Hawaii Automobile Safety Inspector Practice Exam

The correct position for a sticker or decal on the windshield of left-hand drive vehicles is the lower right-hand corner. This location is specified to maximize visibility for the driver and to ensure that the sticker does not obstruct the driver's view of the road.

By placing the sticker in the lower right-hand corner, it allows for approximately a full field of vision without interfering with essential views or safety features, such as the driver's line of sight to traffic signals and signs. This placement aligns with best practices for maintaining clear visibility and compliance with safety regulations regarding vehicle operation.

Other options, such as the lower left-hand corner or the top middle section, could potentially disrupt the driver's line of sight, which is why they are not permissible. This guideline is crucial for ensuring that drivers can operate their vehicles safely without distractions or obstructions. The notion of placing the decal anywhere on the windshield would compromise safety standards, as it could easily block critical views necessary for safe driving.
